Join us for this unique opportunity to refresh and renew your marriage in a beautiful setting, just a 50-minute drive from Bismarck. It’s a day for couples to learn how to embrace their differences and love their way through them instead of fighting about them.
“The beginning of love is the will to let those we love be perfectly themselves, the resolution not to twist them to fit our own image of perfect.” Thomas Merton
The struggle is real. We have our expectations – the knight in shining armor, the princess who is the perfect everything. And then there is reality. Work, meals, a water pipe breaks, the car quits, laundry, kids….the list continues and it’s easy to lose sight of why you got married. It’s also easy to let your spouse’s habits annoy you, resulting in a marriage filled with words that are more critical than loving.
It’s time to recognize and reconnect with all your expectations. By investing this day in your marriage, you can begin evolving your marriage together, taking you to a new level of commitment, strength and intimacy.
Note: This retreat is open to anyone of any background, regardless of religious belief or affiliation.

What to expect

This day is a gift for your spouse or fiancĂ©, a gift to you as a couple. Together, you’ll listen to some inspirational talks meant to spur conversation. You’ll have the chance to choose five different breakout sessions, or you may choose to do fewer of them and spend more time alone reconnecting as a couple. Breakout sessions are both professionally- and layperson-led. Some of the topics include parenting issues, finances, resolving conflict, living a healthy lifestyle, technology impacts, and inlaw issues. Just as important, you’ll have time to go for a walk. Sit under a tree. Take time to celebrate your love and remember what brought you together. Breathe life back into your marriage
We’ll take care of you by serving you three great meals and plenty of snacks.
